Memory of yours !

Body covered with sweat, heart pacing fast,
My mind still runs free, thinking of you.
Why now, going years back in the past,
Just for that one memory, fresh as new.

As I start my morning, doing daily chores,
My face gives way, smiling all day.
Why cant I move it, as water on the shores,
That memory of you, cant keep it at bay.

Years have passed, we are hours apart,
My hands can still feel, your gentle touch.
Why does this not go away, a new start,
This memory of yours, doesnt let me go dutch.

Nights bring thoughts, of us together,
My heart could feel, of you being so near.
Why can't I go back, swift as a feather,
Walking on those banks - a memory so clear.

Farewell..

Life is small, but a never ending story,
Present with cries, and occasions of glory.

As we bid u farewell,
Moments of nostalgia seem to dwell.

Be it the camaraderie we share,
Or the ever so perfect smile u spared.

You taught discipline which no one could,
Leading from the front, you were our very own Robin Hood.

Remembrances of yours are such, which no one can suppress,
Of the drinks we shared, and the gleams of success.

Now that you are leaving, I wish you a life full of success ahead,
Be it personal, or professional, but neatly knead.

Hope you achieve, everything you wished,
And have moments of all, deeply cherished.

I will remember you for everything you were,
Hope you don't forget me, as the remembrances blur.

A good bye with sweet memoirs,
All the best for the new choirs.

Memories of her....

In the twilight, it's that every night's dream again,
She stares at me, as we let the silence remain.
She falls away from me, as I hold her tight,
Life had changed - the dawn smiles with its light.

The walk on the sea shore, still seems near,
Her voice on the phone, echos into my ear.
She made me smile, in the crazy way  only she could,
And kept telling 'im a pain', in the only innocent way she would.

She never sat quiet, always chirping like a bird,
And would tell of her stories, in ways quite unheard.
We would sit on the window, eating chocolates all night,
She would gaze the stars and sigh on the one so bright.

People staring around, remind me of her fear,
She would frown, like a heart which got hit by a spear.
At times she would drive me , from one end to another,
She would fear from nobody, only an exception to her mother.

I could watch her all night, her beauty was such,
But it was her heart, which I desired so much.
I would cuddle her holding her tight as I could,
But it was when she held me, she made me look good.

I wait for the day......

Each day goes by, making the journey long,
But every moment without her, makes me strong,
Just to wait for the day.....
When she comes to me forever.

Her thoughts cross my mind, like clouds in the sky,
But just like the twinkling of the stars, my hope doesn't die,
Just to wait for the day.....
When there will be sunshine.

She talks of wasted time and lost hope,
But the affection in her eyes, keeps me hanging by the rope,
Just to wait for the day.....
When the eyes have the firework.

Her indecisiveness keeps me questioned and puzzled,
But just a thought of presence, keeps my heart cuddled,
Just to wait for the day......
When we are lost in our huddle.

I fear of her thoughts, of being forever apart,
But the same fear, gives a hope of a new start,
Just to wait for the day....
When we are together in the same cart.

I wait for day when she stops thinking,
Rather just keeps on smiling and winking,
And there is this day......
Where there is ocean of love and i'm left sinking.

Being together forever...

When we first met, it was not a perfect start,
It seemed two people, who were world apart.

The more I saw you, talked about the world,
I realised it soon, where my mind swirled.

Your innocence and simplicity is of delight,
But your stubbornness to learn is a lovely sight.

Your very presence, and the way you make me feel,
Ignites a fire, so see you everyday with a fervent zeal.

From having lunch together to the evening stroll,
Just for the joy of being with you, I try so hard to cajole.

I want to take you out, see places we have never seen,
Always loving you, the way you have never been.

I wish to be part of your dreams, as you make them alive,
Standing with you all the way, as you go over-drive.

I want be with you, for everything we could do together,
In happiness, joy and sorrow; enjoying each & every weather.

Love to love you again

Empty seat, with you not around,
Eyes looking for you, but not to be found.
Every face reminds me of you,
Wishing my angel will just fall out of the blue.
You smile is a healing to all my pain,
If this is love, I would love to love you again.

I can't get my eyes off you, when you are with me,
It has its own delight, as if being on the sea.
Your sweet voice has a feeling so warm,
It is music to my ears, from dusk to dawn.
Every thought of yours, makes blood rush in my vein,
If this is love, I would love to love you again.

There are nights when I keep thinking about you,
So restless I am, that I land up calling you.
At times you are busy, at times you deny,
But you know how to keep me happy, even if you have to lie.
Why this happens, is hard to explain,
But, if this is love, I would love to love you again.

As I now write, you are there in my mind,
When I close my eyes, it is you whom I find,
So, now, let me break the ice near my heart,
Let me wait no more, and make the perfect start.
My love for you is there to remain,
I would always love you, over and over again.

A Dream Awaited....

That red top of yours, adding sparkle to the tantalizing eyes,
You seem so near, my heart can't stop the sighs.

Your heart-melting smile, gives serenity to the face,
And those lips so tender, seem waiting to embrace.

The body seems carved out, with the touch of perfection,
Gentle footsteps of yours, make heads move in your direction.

Things you do, the moves you make, and the words you say,
My curiosity remains of a child, staring at you all day.

I love to watch you play, and cheer out aloud,
Capture those moments, with you making me proud.

Driving you to places, you have always desired,
Walking along the streets and lakes, you've always admired.

Carrying your bags, as you shop whole day,
Watch movies and plays, just you and me, rest all at bay.

People envy, say you are my prized possession,
My love to you is superficial, just an obsession.

The candle night dinners, and our first ball dance,
As I look at you, I skip a beat at every glance.

Darkness ashore, open skies above, as the waves sings,
Lost amidst the silence, as the aura of affection begins.

Night prolongs giving me jitters, and the fear of the loss,
Question remains: Does she love me, or will I go for a toss?

I hope, of whatever I said, can even be partially true,
I would not have been here, just thinking about you.

I wish I could live my dream, to be with you,
Hug you, pamper you, like no one knew.

New Journey.... Same life.... But new spice....

As they say - It's Time!!
Time to enjoy with moments sublime.
Reach places only dreamt, but never seen,
Have independence, something which has never been.

There will be occasions, with no familiar face,
Gloomy nights ready to embrace.
But every cloud has a silver line, and powers divine,
You will have friends, be it physical or on-line.

Let loneliness not give you a scare,
Remember, family & friends are always there.
World is small, nothing to cry about,
Just call, everyone will hear you out.

Mixed emotions do engross, as one sets to fly,
Don't worry - take a deep breath before you sigh.
You will be missed; as time keeps flowing,
Sweet memories of yours, will keep everyone going.

That Long drive in the car, everyone talking,
With you lost, your mind will keep knocking.
Closer you get, weariness will increase,
Look around, and let your mind appease.

As you fly, close your eyes, and pray,
Be strong, you definitely will make hay.
What happens, happens for the good,
So look ahead....Understood !!!

The Beginning....

Those nervous moments, getting ready for the interview,
Giving solace to the unsuccessful, sharing happiness of the few.

Months of celebrations , and sudden jitters of the last exams,
Bidding adieu to college, everything captured in cams,

Ship called life turned corporate, as empty pockets gained weight,
New friends boarded in, while old ones vacated.

More work, more fun, staying away from home,
Free to party all night, and anywhere to roam.

Soon this ever changing lifestyle also came to an end,
Movies, shopping and work became a regular trend.

Now, its a new turn to life, just when things looked bright,
Books will  become friends again, exams again a fight.

The grief of separation, and the joy of new venture,
As they say - Change is the beginning of a new adventure.

Night outs, group studies and pep talks will be making way,
College campus will be my world, keeping rest at bay.

Socializing through internet- be it birthdays or tweets,
Still away from home, I will also miss the Mumbai beats.

From sleeve less kurtas and tiny tops to salwaar kameez,
Is this how they treat a future manage!! Oh phlease!

Economics, accounting, marketing; Oh My God !! bling! bling!
I just hope Kotler doesn't come in my dreams, not even for a swing.

But jokes apart, it will be a special journey, so make way,
All and all, I will be a professional in business as they say.

Amazing day - Life's prank on me

Amazing day, amazing start,
I only wish I had a morning tart.
Never believed this aspect of life,
where I could be harassed even by a bullock cart.

It started as my watch stuck at six,
With the sun sparkling I was sure it needed a fix.
The extra eyes of mine made me realize it had gone past nine,
With a presentation ahead, it was never going to be fine.

The next moments also saw shaving cream brushing my teeth,
And the cold water bucket kept me shivering from head to feet.
I started to pace across the busy street,
Only to bump into a fatso, for whom I was now dead meat.

Hurriedly I reached the station, crossed the railway track,
Just to find a cop waiting, I was taken aback.
Before I realised, I was at station with chargesheet in hand,
Standing in the court, I was asked to pay else jail would be my newfoundland.

I rushed to office, far away from the dreaded place,
My boss just kept staring at me with a swollen face.
I made him aware of the misery I had been in,
And how rest everything went for a spin.

I left early, and took the first train home,
To make myself feel the day was long gone.
But God had different plans, to keep me in check,
The train started, not before making me paralyzed from toe to neck.

Once I reached my destination, I was thrown out,
As if I was a dog, of which people had no idea about.
Slowly I started inching towards home, looking at the girls around,
Soon I found them looking at me, lying on the ground.

I had hit my bums hard, slipped over a banana peel,
It was a moment to be captured on the reel.
The only thing I remember after it was, me lying in bed,
Writing this poem, and massaging my bums which are now red. :)

I forgive and forget her !!

Childhood is so much innocent, so much pure,
It never lets complications to endure.

Such were the moments we cherished,
Not aware that they all will be perished.

When did I have a likeness for all she did,
It was not right, I was then just a kid.

The same bus took both of us to school
I waited for her to come, but not to look like a fool.

Short hair, those puffy cheeks drew me to her,
Those intoxicating moments can never blur.

She used to tease me,with her friends, take me to task,
And so shy I was, it was hardly anything that I could ask.

I loved to see her study quietly, play and fight,
It was really a benevolent sight.

I played the piano near the window, to grab attention,
And watched her move around on her terrace, not to mention.

As time passed, studies kept our freedom bereft,
But I still found time to see her before she left.

New salwar suits every month was noticed and praised,
The excitement in her eyes, could easily be traced.

I never let go a chance to her home,
Believe me it was like I was going to Rome.

I remember her coming to my house,
Not clear though why, but that definitely had me aroused.

We use to meet accidently, here and there,
Borrowing a book from her; and now we started to share !

I even tried offering her a ride , which she could not reject,
But again a denial from the management, whom she could not object.

She requested to help her friends one day,
It ensured it was done, though I made many sisters, to my dismay.

Life moved fast, before it met the roadblock,
With me nowhere to be found, my door also got a lock.

When I wanted to talk again, but my shyness came in the way,
Nerer knew how she would react, and what would I say!!

I kept myself updated about her, though being away,
I was happy when someone was there for her, night and day.

It took me years to ask whether she felt the same,
And you know what, it was only me to blame.

I am happy about her, and his special one,
May be together they might tell me, how they had each others hearts won.

I wish them a bright future ahead,
And hope they have a relationship neatly knead.

It was some dance... (some one told me her name is Anchal)

Wearing a lehnga, stintillating glow on her face,
Where had she been long gone, having such a grace.

Lost in my thoughts, her very looks brought me back,
Eyes locked on her, like on a car in a race track.

Sitting among all, suddenly she vanished,
Like a beautiful queen, for her looks, had been banished.

Soon she arrived as Nazi's black rose,
Never had I seen someone like her, up so close.

The way she danced was truly amazing,
Some of the moves (sigh), must have set young hearts blazing.

Those delicate hands drifted, with footsteps so neat,
The groovy moves, and follow through of her hair, ever so sweet.

With so much of energy and enigma filled,
Enen the dull crowd was unpeturbed and thrilled.

In the end, it was an applause truly deserved,
We got a taste of the dessert, before the dinner being served.

Sejal...this one is for you.... :P

Silent runner, my first thought,
Sometimes becomes a property highly sought.

There was still something I could not do,
I just could not write about you.

It has been days now, I have been trying to write,
Taking thoughts out of my mind, has become a fight.

It has been long now, that I have you known,
And with that, for you, the respect and trust has also grown.

So many conversations I have had with you,
But still, the moments I could recollect are just a few.

You are one friendI cherish having long talk,
Till we are out of thoughts, like just after a daily walk.

Your friendship is a prized possession for me,
Hope your passion and hard work take you places you want to be.

About a girl....whom I never met.....

Loved someone on a day.
Unknown to her, another day.
That was the way her heart swayed,
Quite a many boys, she had betrayed.

Kajal in eyes, with glossy red lips,
Lovely top, with a tiny skirt just above the hips,
The haughty walk, having attension of all,
Girls were jealous,of this exclusive barbie doll.

And then there was this new lad,
He liked her, but not the attitude she had.
Her attitude was what he wanted to shed,
Cupid's path is what, he wanted to tread.

The arrow struck, he was happy and gay,
But he knew, for her, it was going to be like any other day.
On the first date, they fought; and he left,
Before she knew, he had her ditched and bereft.

Never had someone outclassed her,in the way so curt,
Unable to sleep that night, her ego was so badly hurt.
Seeking revent, he was always on her mind,
Days passed, but hwe was unable to find.

Time moved on, her anger had made the way,
As affection for him, was there, forever to stay.
Chirping of birds, now had her pleased,
Skirts and jeans, made way for beautiful salwaar kameez.

One fine day, her eyes gave a spark,
It seemed as if she had found a diamond sparkling in the dark.
There was the boy, she longed for, holding his ground,
Her happiness, long lost, had no bound.

He apologised, as her tears rolled out,
He unvieled, what his fight and his absence henceforth was all about.
By then, her heart had stuch,
Like a blooming flower ready to unpluck.

The boy stood, holding her hand,Whispered - I love you.
The girl went pink, was quick to understand,
As she hurriedly said - I love you too :-)

Friendship.... (Got lots of forwards on Friendship Day)

Friendship is not sending sms to all,
it is also not about just giving a call.
All it is about is having trust,
when one needs, you being there, a must.

In this fast moving world of ours,
when one is stuck in traffic for hours,
sitting on the window seat, these forwards we send,
not realising the value of words, which we had never mend.

Friendship is about knowing the unexpressable,
its a bond of mutual admiration, unbreakable.
It is about remembering and saying I care...
having a silent laught together, while others do nothing but stare.

It is a priceless gift, which cannot be bought or sold,
it's value being far greater than a mountain of gold.
Be it a boy or a girl; a chld or an eighty year old,
friendship is a relationship which remains untold.

It is in friends we believe, with thoughts so deep,
when reminded, such is the feeling, that it makes our heart weep!!!

US Morgage!!...alas...what a team..!!!

It was the hot summer night,
Ears fixed to the speaker...am I right?

There were many SLA's,
But the question was, "With such rules, how could one play!"

No one knew what was ahead,
Only target was...to get neatly knead.

It was the transition...not much understood at all,
But the onsite made sure that the offshore stands tall.

Here came the production & support,
Also it brought the escalation and issue's report.

Onsite saw an associate leave, nowhere to be seen,
Handling his work also!!! How hard would have it been?

The project also saw a manager in making,
These issues were all his taking.

He made the processes...sat with all,
Made sure to make the project - never to fall.

Then came the beautiful women all around,
Team found the lost enthusiasm which had no bounds.

The project saw many things new,
As the team meetings and parties grew.

Love also came in the air,
Even Himesh would not have, such beautiful hair.

It was the month end, which had the longest nights,
It was when they usually had fights.

The morning was the coolest of it all,
But people had to wait just for that odd call.

Be it a strike, huge rains or a brawl,
You will still find them in office on their evening call.

Be it a holiday and the lonliest hour of the night,
This project never gave up, without a fight.

In appraisal days the spirit might be low,
Even while working in the dawn, they never let it show!!!

And with a huge silence, came the night shift,
This was when the project had this huge rift.

Now, it is going through a peculiar phase,
Manger knows all, but lets no one to trace.

Hopes this moment also passes by,
Hey everbody! At least give it a try....

Rain has its own joy...and the feeling of nostalgia :-)

In the moonlight, earth kissing the rain,
we were destined to meet here again.

The sweet smell of the earth all around,
Looking in her eyes was love no bound.

She smiled like a flower bloom in the rain,
As I held her hand and we started moving again.

All drenched, we now reached the shore,
Sitting there she looked, till I started to adore.

The tiny eyes, yet so bright,
The very picture of me there was a delight.

Her face had a glow, not to forget that dimple,
While she smiled, a moment even the stars forgot to twinkle.

We walked about us in harmony together,
All dreams knit together like a bird's feather.

Soon the silence brought the sailing bliss,
Even the roaring sea became oblivious to the kiss.

We stared the waves, to come back and leave, just to come back again,
Such was the adrenaline gush, to jump in our love train.

But the rain had stopped, horizon had several ships rank,
Even the far off hoardings had gone blank.

We were rushing back our way,
Two hearts on a high, leaving rest at bay.

We reached our original destination,
Our never ending journey had just got an exclamation.

We bid adieu to each other,
Praying to our fate to bring us together.

My inspiration for this....Barcelona v/s Manchester United....Campions League final....

Running around for a month to different places,
Here I was sitting on bench tying my shoe laces,
Trying to avoid the team full of nervous faces.
How would it feel, if we win?

Yet to realise we are going to play the final,
It had been just days, when our team was struggling for survival,
And then we fought as a team leaving everything else to denial.
Could it be real, can we win?

As the teams entered, the crowd was ecstatic,
Packed stadiums with loud roars, made the enviournment emphatic,
As I looked around, on my home ground, made me feel patriotic.
Oh yes! Now we should win!!

Refree blew the whistle, the play began,
The ball was like a cherished girl, after which everbody ran,
My team was playing as warriors of trojan.
Yes, we can win, we can win!!

All through the match we stood tall,
Our goalie, our man, seemed to be the wall,
All in all an army commited never to fall.
Oh God! Let us win, let us win!!

In the end minutes, God gave us his grace,
Great pass and a wonderful shot - both at right place,
Even opponents had astonishment, written all over their face,
We will win, we will surely win!!

Match ended, nobody left, except a few,
We were overjoyed as the feeling was new,
A dream hard fought, had finally come true.
And now we could say - We have got everything what it takes to win...!!!

Smriti's Birthday - Its all I know about her

Today is the day she came to existence,
Twenty-four years hence, only on her parents insistance.

The sweetness of her cry, made hearts melt,
Such was the presence, she had made everyone felt.

She was given a name for all to remember,
SMRITI, the remebrence, was in everone's heart forever.

Even today, she is loved by all,
Just a wink of her eye, can make people fall.

Sweet voice with a touch of innocence,
Her talks are embarked with pure elegance.

Bright eyes, those clasping eyelids,
Smooth fall of hair, all adds to her glitz.

Smart looks with those trousers do impress,
But its the Traditional Chudidaar that makes her look an empress.

Party has always been the name of her game,
With the "ROCK STAR" she has become, has added another level to her fame.

Meeting people and making new friends,
Spreading happiness, I guess, is what she intends.

Expressing love in public, is what is loved by this butterfly,
To all her fans, I say, do give it a try.

Her jovial image, manages sunflowers to turn to her, than to the sun,
But the focus and dedication for herself could never be over-run.

Behind this bubbly girl is a thick wall,
Where a matured Smriti always stands tall.

Her silent laughs and tearless cries of demise, closely knot,
Lonliness becomes a place of her, engrossed in deep thought.

She becomes unknown even to the known world of her own,
Difficult it becomesfor her, to make her understand, feeling all alone.

Never-the-less there is a long way to go,
Many-a-candles are awaiting, so give it a strong blow.

Today I wish you with all my blessings - "Happy Birthday"
Success, Joy, Happiness, Laughter - this and more will always be on your way.

Smiling Quote

This is something to start with..............

A smile cost nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment but the memory of it sometimes last forever. A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble. It cannot be brought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is something that is of no value until given away. Some people are too tired to give a smile. Give them one of yours, since no one needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
